Cancer is, and has long been, a disease that most people fear the most. A diagnosis associated with death, suffering and anxiety, it has become increasingly clear that cancer is linked to lifestyle. David Eberhard meets Birgitta Sacrédeus, chair of a group of EU regional politicians tasked with developing a cancer strategy, Hans Hägglund, professor and coordinator of the Swedish regions' work against cancer, and Ellen Brynskog, public health scientist at Cancer Center West. They discuss the major challenge of getting people to live in a way that reduces the risk of cancer.
