Cancer is, and has long been, a disease that most people fear the most. A diagnosis associated with death, suffering and anxiety, it has become increasingly clear that cancer is linked to lifestyle. David Eberhard meets Birgitta Sacrédeus, chair of a group of EU regional politicians tasked with developing a cancer strategy, Hans Hägglund, professor and coordinator of the Swedish regions' work against cancer, and Ellen Brynskog, public health scientist at Cancer Center West.
