108. Kerstin Hesselgren - Prussian or liberal pioneer?

Journalist and author Anders Johnson joins the podcast to discuss his book Kerstin Hesselgren – hälsovårdsapostel och riksdagspionjär (Kerstin Hesselgren – Health Care Apostle and Parliamentary Pioneer). Kerstin Hesselgren was a prominent social liberal politician in the early 1900s and the first woman to serve in the First Chamber of the Swedish Parliament. She worked with public health issues and was interested in people's diets and lifestyles. We discuss what traces of Hesselgren's work remain today and how close one can and should be when helping vulnerable groups.
